Our Instructors

S. Kirusanthini

S. Kirusanthini, a talented Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher hailing from Sri Lanka, embarked on her dance journey at the tender age of 6 in Chennai. Her initial mentor, Smt. Sangeetha Karthikeyan from Thiruvannamalai, introduced her to the Valuvoor style of Bharatanatyam. Over the past 7 years, she has been dedicatedly learning the Kalakshetra style under the guidance of her guru, Miss Sunitta Menghanaani. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications from Vivekanandha Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women, Namakkal, and a Master's Degree in Computer Application from Professional Group of Institutions, Coimbatore.

For four years, she served as a dance teacher and administrative officer at the renowned Academy of Indian Music & Arts (AIMA), founded by Padmabhushan Dr. TV Gopalakrishnan. In 2018, she returned to her native Sri Lanka, where she joined the NGO - SEED, focusing on women and children empowerment. Over the past 3 years, she has continued to nurture her passion for dance while wearing multiple hats as the Director (Sri Lanka branch) and a tutor at Shanti Kala Nikketan.

K. Jayalakshmi

K. Jayalakshmi, a talented Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher originally from Tirupati, has been pursuing her artistic aspirations for the past 6 years in Chennai. Dancing has been her passion since childhood, and after 19 years of training, she's now pursuing a Masters in Bharatanatyam at Annamalai University. She began her journey at 4 years old under Smt. Sasikala in Tirupati and later graduated with First Class honors from Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts, Kalakshetra Foundation. Since 2021, she's been under the guidance of Ācharya, Sri.Girish Madhu at Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai. For the past one year, she has been a remarkable teacher at Shanti Kala Nikketan.
